The Car The original Pontiac GTO was made from 1963 to 1974. They eventually did a made a new version of the GTO in 2003, but it was awful and we are not going to talk about that. Pink Floyd - Astronomy Domine 1970

About: This is a 1970 live version of the Pink Floyd track Astronomy Domine. This is a rather interesting recording of the song because this song was written when Syd Barrett was still around. However, Syd Barret was no longer in the band in 1970 and was instead replaced by guitarist and singer David Gilmour. I personally love this recording because the video is in color and is good quality. To add to that, the audio is clear and easy to listen to without going crazy. The song itself was never my favorite Pink Floyd song but it is probably my favorite of the Syd Barrett stuff. I hope you guys enjoy this live version and if so, consider sharing this article with a friend. Thank you! - Unfortunately, we have received news that legendary producer and musician Malcolm Cecil has recently passed away. He produced albums for Quincy Jones, Randy Newman, Joan Baez, and most notably Stevie Wonder! There are a lot of songs and albums that Malcolm had an effect on that you may listen to daily! He create some of the most influential sounds and songs and helped many artists reach a great level of success in their careers. However, this Malcolm Cecil also contributed a lot to the world of synthesizers and electronic music. He was one of the first producers to start using the analog synthes...

The photo was taken in 1970 just a year after Led Zeppelin had their big break. Robert and Jimmy are in an interview in this picture, most likely talking about their second album. This collection has been included in a few other releases but has never been offered on its own and was never offered before on vinyl.  The Millennium Concert is being offered as a single vinyl album that consists of 12 tracks, which are shown below. The album features a number of live versions of fan favorites such as 'Hotel California' and 'Peaceful Easy Feeling'.  This album is quite special for a few reasons though the main one being that this was the last time that the Eagles played all together as a united group. This recording features Don Henley, Glenn Frey, Joe Walsh, Timothy B. Schm...

Why Jimi Hendrix was a God

This is just gonna be a short post guys. I was just sitting and listening to Jimi Hendrix playing and it occurred to me how truly ahead of his time he was and how much he really unlocked on the guitar that would not have been here without him. Now, you have to view this all in perspective but if you think about it, Jimi really was a once in a lifetime visionary and a talent unlike any we may ever see again.  I mean, let me start somewhere a little more tangible. If you look at what was being made when Hendrix released his first album, a lot of it was pretty quite stuff comparably. Most of the bands of the time didn't even seem to know how to use their amps and were not aware of what could be done with the guitar pedals. Let's just take a look at what was released at the same time as Hendrix's first album. In 1967, we saw the Doors release an album, the Grateful Dead, and even Pink Floyd. However, even these bands, or at least the music they released at the time, was pretty ...

1960 Briggs Cunningham Corvette for Sale at Sotheby's Auction

  - Dear reader, I offer this blog completely for free. If you would like to help support the blog, you can subscribe above, follow in the pull out menu, or share this article with your friends! Thank you! - Sotheby's Auctions has just released a pretty crazy line-up of historically significant motorsport vehicles. However, the one that takes the cake is the 1960 Corvette that part of the Briggs Cunningham team. The car drove at Le Mans as Briggs Cunningham tried to win the most difficult race in the world in an American made car. This was the car that was actually used at Le Mans which is why the price will probably be so high.  The car has Chassis number 3535 and has the information to prove it. However, it should be noted that the car is in poor condition. The car was under private ownership for a while until it was believed to be lost. However, the car was found in 2012. It was then that specialists came to inspect the car and to confirm its historical significance. It is ...

Stevie Ray Vaughn - Texas Floods Live

About: I have been playing guitar for quite a while now and I can tell you that this is one of the best guitar performances I have ever seen. However, before I talk about the actual performance I want to talk about the video quality. This is not quite as old as some of the other live recordings that I have been posting so this one is not quite as poor in terms of audio and video. The video is good as it was shot on digital cameras and the audio is fantastic. I think this is one of the best live recordings I have ever seen of Stevie Ray Vaughn.  The performance that he gave here is spectacular. The song itself has little singing but that's okay because he says everything he needs to with his guitar. he played one of the most soulful and emotional solos I have ever heard. It is bluesy but up-tempo and it goes for almost 9 minutes. I think this is one of those videos that really shows why Stevie Ray Vaughn is considered to be one of the best guitar players of all time! He cert...

Introduction Today we are going to talk about a very special car. It is one of the world's most beautiful cars and a British Icon. It is a legend in the motoring world and owning one is most car enthusiasts ultimate dream. It has style, elegance, and sportiness. Today, we are going to talk about the Jaguar E-Type. This is one of the most important and one of the coolest cars of all time and, if you are a true car lover, this car is most likely in your dream garage. So, first we are going to talk about the history behind the car and then we are going to talk about the car itself and what makes it so cool, so elegant, so beautiful, and so significant to British motor racing history. Let's get started! A Quick History The car was first conceptualized in 1957 after Jaguar had large success at Le Mans with the D-Type racing body. So, they asked the racing department if they could come up with a concept for a road going car that would use the same D-Type body style. They did create a...

How to Have Fun with Any Car: A Quick Guide

Introduction Since I was young, I have always had a love for cars. While this site is mainly based on things that are vintage, I like both vintage and modern cars! However, when I got my drivers license, reality hit me as I realized that my first car was going to be a 2008 Honda CR-V. For those of you unfamiliar with the vehicle, a Honda CR-V is a medium-sized, soccer mom SUV that has about 160hp. However, I soon came to love the car and realized that you don't need a massive engine or a convertible to have fun with a car. So, while this in not a normal article for this blog, I am going to be talking about how to have fun in any car. I am going to be mostly talking from my own experience here and telling you how I realized that it really doesn't take $100,000 to have a fun experience with a car. So, let's get started firstly with why I chose to write this article! Why? I think that there are a lot of people that get too caught up with needing a sports car or a luxury car wi...

Album Review: Led Zeppelin II

Introduction I decided today that I want to review the Led Zeppelin II album by, you guessed it, Led Zeppelin. I personally have this album on vinyl and I love it! So, I thought that I would go over it with you guys. We are going to talk about the band, the songs, the sounds, and the significance of the album and hopefully that should give you a great idea of the album. Finally, at the end I will give it a rating out of 10, which is a new trend that I would like to start during song reviews, album reviews, and band reviews. So, let's start off with the band! The Band The album is obviously by the band Led Zeppelin. Today, Led Zeppelin is considered to be one of the most famous and important bands of all time, but when this album came out, their status was not so prestigious. This was their second studio album and they were still just getting started. They had made a big splash with their first album, bringing lots of new sounds and techniques into the music and now, all eyes were o...

For Sale: 1965 Chevy C10

Introduction I personally have never been the biggest pickup truck guy, but I make a few exceptions. However, I don't make exceptions for certain companies or brands but rather for specific pickup trucks that really catch my eye. Now, as you may have observed, this is one of those occasions where a pickup truck has caught my eye. I was scrolling through the Bring a Trailer website earlier when I spotted a 1965 Chevy C10 pickup truck and I immediately knew that I wanted to show you guys this truck. So, let's talk about this truck and what's so cool about it! The Truck The truck itself is a 1965 Chevy and it is a C10 model. A little bit of history on the C10, production for these vehicles started in 1960 and ran till 1966. This was the first model of the C line of pick up trucks to be made by Chevy. They were the small sized trucks mainly aimed for general consumer use on farms and ranches. This truck was released at the same time that Chevy released their line of medium size...

Carroll Shelby's 427 Cobra is For Sale!

In the automotive world, there are a few legends that really stand out from the crowd. One of those legends is Carroll Shelby. Shelby built one of the most known racing and auto companies and helped Ford win Le Mans. On top of this, he created some of the most beautiful cars to have ever been made. We have just got news that Carroll Shelby's 427 Cobra is going on auction. Now, this is incredibly important because most of his cars were bought up years ago. It is extremely rare that one of Carroll Shelby's cars goes on sale and even rarer to see one that Shelby himself actually owned and drove, and that is what this car is.  It is going for sale through the Mecum Auction company, though it is not listed yet. A few years ago, we watched CSX2000, or the 427 Cobra with chassis number 2000, go for sale for almost $14 million. To add to that, normal 427 Cobras usually go for around $1.5 million. So, as you may have been able to assume, this car is not going to be cheap.  This car is ...

Pink Floyd - The Dark Side of the Moon Live 1972

About this Recording: I have now published a few articles showcasing live footage and I plan to continue to publish these as I think they are super cool and you guys seem to like them. This is by far the longest recording that I have published to this site as it is just under an hour of pure Pink Floyd awesomeness. Let's start with the quality. The video is not great but it is good enough to see the band and the audio is alright as well. In the description, the video poster has listed that this was most likely some form of bootleg recording. However, it is hard to find real live Pink Floyd recordings for free anymore as the remaining members of the band have completely blocked most of them off YouTube. This recording, however, is a great audio recording of Dark Side of the Moon and I really enjoyed listening to it. This is right about the time when the full album was finally put together, as this performance is most likely set in 1972 and the album was released in 1973. However, i...

Porsche 914: The Fun Porsche

Introduction Today, I want to talk about a car that most people have probably seen once or twice but don't know all too much about. We are going to talk about the Porsche 914 and I am going to explain why I think this is one of the most fun Porsches. I should mention that by saying this is the fun Porsche, I am not saying that other Porsches are not fun, because that is completely untrue. I just think that most of the other models are a lot more serious than this one, which makes this one a lot more fun. So, let's start by talking a little bit about the car, and then I will talk about why I think this is the fun Porsche! The Car So, in the early 60s Porsche needed a new car to replace the Porsche 912 that was currently their entry model car. So, they started to design the 914 as a newer, but still entry level, sports car. They were going to make two models, one with a four cylinder and one with a six cylinder engine. However, this was when Porsche was still heavily tied to Volk...
