How to Have Fun with Any Car: A Quick Guide

Introduction

Since I was young, I have always had a love for cars. While this site is mainly based on things that are vintage, I like both vintage and modern cars! However, when I got my drivers license, reality hit me as I realized that my first car was going to be a 2008 Honda CR-V. For those of you unfamiliar with the vehicle, a Honda CR-V is a medium-sized, soccer mom SUV that has about 160hp. However, I soon came to love the car and realized that you don't need a massive engine or a convertible to have fun with a car. So, while this in not a normal article for this blog, I am going to be talking about how to have fun in any car. I am going to be mostly talking from my own experience here and telling you how I realized that it really doesn't take $100,000 to have a fun experience with a car. So, let's get started firstly with why I chose to write this article!

Why?

I think that there are a lot of people that get too caught up with needing a sports car or a luxury car without realizing that their car can be fun as well. I say this because I used to be this kind of person as well. So, like I mentioned, I am talking from experience here. I used to think that I needed a Porsche or a Corvette to have fun but in reality, you really don't. Now, before some of you get mad at me, I am not at all saying that having a nice sports car wouldn't be nice, I am just saying that you can also have fun with a more normal car. Now, let's talk about how to have fun with any car!

How?

The first thing that you need to realize is that, just like a Ferrari and a Lamborghini, your car also has four wheels and an engine. It is just as capable of road driving as any other car. If it is not, you may want to take it to a mechanic. However, I think that once you just realized that you already closer to having more fun with your car. The next thing to realize is that speed is not everything. having ridden in a few fast cars myself, I will say that they are very fun, but they will also give you whiplash if you are not careful! If it does matter that much to you though, you can also just pretend you are driving a race car!

I drive an SUV and yet I always pretend I am driving a race car. That doesn't mean that I speed every where I go, but sometime I accelerate a little quicker when the light goes green and sometimes I let the rear wheel hit the apex. It may not be racing on a track, but it always puts a smile on my face. Also, don't drive too dangerously as there is no reason to put yourself in harms way to have fun in your car. The next thing that you need to do though is learn a little more about your car, and this will do a few things for you.

The first thing that getting to know your car better will do is give you a better connection with your car. This means that you will already enjoy driving it more because, for many people, you will feel almost as though the car is your friend! Next, it will also allow you to know what kind of things you can do with your car to have a little more fun. For example, know whether your car is rear wheel drive or front wheel drive is very important! There are various different things that you can do depending on how the drive train works in your car.

For example, if you have a rear wheel drive car, your car is much better for doing donuts. So, next time it snows, or rains if you live in a warmer area, find a completely empty, large, and preferably disused parking lot and see if you can get some donuts going. If your car is not powerful enough to do full donuts, then just sliding it around will still put a smile on your face. You can also attempt some burnouts if you have a bit of extra power in your car. If you have a front wheel drive car, then I have the perfect thing for your to try. Find an old parking lot and get two old trays that are preferably metal cooking trays. You can buy them at the store for a few bucks or ask your mother if she has any old ones. Slip those bad boys under the rear tires and proceed with the sliding. This will definitely give you a good laugh, though you may have to buy extra trays if you really want to go for it.

If you have a larger car or SUV, you can also consider finding some old trails near you and trying a spot of off-roading! It is extremely fun and always puts a smile on my face. I will say though that you should only try mild trails and just to splash around in the mud a bit. Do not attempt expert trails if you are not experienced and do not have the right vehicle, you will get stuck and that will be a lot less fun. However, the point that I am trying to make with these examples is that there is a lot that you can do to have fun with just a normal car! You just have to think a little creatively and stop getting so caught up in the fact that its not a Porsche or Ferrari!

Outro

So, I hope this quick little guide has helped at least a few of you have a bit more fun with your cars! Life is short and you have to enjoy the little things! Plus, the more fun you have with your car, the more you get to learn about the cars character and the closer you become with your car. This is something that every car guy will understand and something that really allows you to enjoy your driving experience that much more! Beginnings: The Ferrari 328

Beginnings: This is the beginning of something beautiful. It is the start of a new community for those who love the art and design of the past and all it has to offer. The cars, the art, the music, and all the vintage design that you could ever want. I have always been interested in the past, specifically in the designs. The cars were beautiful and loud, or elegant and smooth. Then there was the music, there was the Rock and Roll, the Blues, the Jazz, and so much more! The art is always a thing of absolute beauty and it can take the imagination to places so stunning and wild that you may never want to return. So, in this community, we will cherish all that is vintage and take a moment to tell the stories of the past. The year 1969 was chosen for an obvious reason. There are years that were better for cars, or better for music, or better for art. However, if asked to chose one such year that brought together a culmination of the best of all of these things, many would quickly offer up t...

The Fiat Panda is the Perfect Off-Road Toy

The Fiat Panda: The Fiat Panda is a small and fearless off-roader that will most likely be able to take you anywhere that you want it to. Not quite as vintage as some of our other articles but I am sure that this 90s creation will impress you and, by the end of this article, I am sure that you too will want one. The Fiat Panda is extremely capable but also an extremely small off-roader. So, lets dig a little deeper and find out why I think that the Fiat Panda is such a cool car! The Fiat Panda was originally conceived in 1980 and was designed by the Italian design firm Italdesign. They had previously designed similar cars that focused on a very utilitarian sense of design and function. The car was supposed to be an easy to use, go anywhere, small sized car that was also supposed to be inexpensive. I am excited to say that not only did the Panda check all those boxes but it also went above and beyond. While the car was originally designed as a car that you could use for all sorts of act...
