Between April 5th and 10th they played 8 shows and sold out every single one. That made them the first rock band to sell out Carnegie Hall for a week straight. The eight shows were recorded and the best parts were put into a quadruple vinyl album that was comprised of songs from the bands first three albums and was 2 hours and 45 minutes long! The album reached the #3 spot on the Billboard charts. It was also the band's best selling live album and went platinum. Now, 50 years later, the live album is getting a massive deluxe 50th anniversary version that includes a lot of material. The new box set will contain a whopping total of 16 CDs and will have remastered versions of the recordings of all eight of the shows that they played at Carnegie Hall.
