Carroll Shelby's 427 Cobra is For Sale!

In the automotive world, there are a few legends that really stand out from the crowd. One of those legends is Carroll Shelby. Shelby built one of the most known racing and auto companies and helped Ford win Le Mans. On top of this, he created some of the most beautiful cars to have ever been made.

We have just got news that Carroll Shelby's 427 Cobra is going on auction. Now, this is incredibly important because most of his cars were bought up years ago. It is extremely rare that one of Carroll Shelby's cars goes on sale and even rarer to see one that Shelby himself actually owned and drove, and that is what this car is.

It is going for sale through the Mecum Auction company, though it is not listed yet. A few years ago, we watched CSX2000, or the 427 Cobra with chassis number 2000, go for sale for almost $14 million. To add to that, normal 427 Cobras usually go for around $1.5 million. So, as you may have been able to assume, this car is not going to be cheap.

This car is said to have been ordered by Carroll in 1965 and built in 1966. It is a beautiful charcoal grey color. This is rather important as well because it should be noted that there were only five 427 Cobras to ever be ordered in that color, making this car even rarer. It has chassis number 3178 and is in great condition.

The car is in such good condition because Shelby didn't just own this car for a year. Instead, he bought it in 1965 and owned it until he died in 2012. This means that the car was part of his meticulously cared for collection for almost 50 years and the wear and tear is minimal. The engine an these models is a 7 Liter V8 that was made by Ford specially for these cars. The engine is coupled with a four-speed manual transmission that directs the power to the rear wheels.

These cars are beautiful and fantastic to drive, and this one carries a significant amount of history. It will be interesting to see how much this model sells for, though I am sure it will not be cheap. The auction is set to happen in the coming months. So, if you are looking to put a bid in on this car, then you can head on over to Mecum Auctions to check out when the car will be up for sale!

Did Bon Scott write any of Back in Black?

I should probably start this off with a sort of a disclaimer. Firstly, I am not expert on this nor am I affiliated with AC/DC. This is mere speculation and opinion. However, it is quite an interesting topic in the world of AC/DC since there are many fans who often wonder about this. But, for those who are not as familiar with the subject, let's start by setting the scene of the story. In February of 1980, the lead singer of AC/DC Bon Scott passed away. He was one of the core parts of the band and played a large role in the band's songwriting process and performances. Bon Scott was the front man for AC/DC along with Angus Young and had quite a large following. However, he was also a very stereotypical Rockstar as he spent much of his time doing drugs, partying, and living a fast lifestyle. This eventually would be what lead to his death in 1980. He passed away after a long night of drinking when he curled up in the back of his car to sleep. In his sleep he choked on his own vo...

This collection has been included in a few other releases but has never been offered on its own and was never offered before on vinyl.  The Millennium Concert is being offered as a single vinyl album that consists of 12 tracks, which are shown below. The album features a number of live versions of fan favorites such as 'Hotel California' and 'Peaceful Easy Feeling'.  This album is quite special for a few reasons though the main one being that this was the last time that the Eagles played all together as a united group. This recording features Don Henley, Glenn Frey, Joe Walsh, Timothy B. Schm...
