Top 5 Reasons to Buy a 1969 Corvette

Introduction:

Widely regarded as one of the best looking Corvette models, the 1969 model is the second Corvette to be dubbed the Corvette "Stingray". They were designed in 1967 and produced from 1967 to 1982. They came after the original stingray model, the Corvette C2.  They had big engines, long flowing design lines, and a beautiful t-top roof! In this article, I am going to give you the top five reasons why you should buy one of these old Corvettes!

#1: The Engine

The first reason to buy this car is because it has a great engine! There were six model levels, but even the standard came with a 5.7L V8 that cranked out 300 all American horsepower. The highest model came with a 6.9L V8 that makes 430 horsepower, which for 1969 was an astonishing number. The noise that this engine makes is also quite astonishing. It creates enough power to give the driver a great driving experience while also blessing the drivers ears with the sound of a naturally aspirated American V8! The engine alone is enough for many people to want to buy one, but don't worry, there is a lot more to this car then just an awesome engine!

#2: The Headlights

The second reason may sound a little cheesy, but I think it is completely valid as a reason to purchase a car. The second reason to buy this car is because of the pop-up head lights. If anyone has been reading and keeping up with this blog, you will already know that I quite like pop-up headlights. I think that they make this car so much cooler. They look extremely cool when they are up, and then during the daytime they just simply sink out of sight, creating a sleek and aggressive look to the car. The pop-up headlights on this car are simple and have an easy design. They are not too complex and will most likely not break too easily so in my opinion, they are the perfect pop-up headlights! Now, on to the next reason!

#3: The Price

Moving on, I would not like to talk about reason three. The third reason to pick up one of these cars right now is that they are currently getting pretty cheap. Some of them are on sale for as low as in the $20,000 to $30,000 range. While that is still a lot of money, you are getting a lot of car for the price! You get a beautifully styled body, an American V8 engine, and a cool piece of history all for as low as $20,000! That sounds like the deal of the century! The price is low not because the cars are not wanted but rather because the other Corvettes of previous years have become more valuable. This means that there is a higher demand for models like the C1 and C2 and a lower demand for models like the C3 and C4, thus driving the price down. However, I think that we are going to see the price of these car spike in the coming years, so get yours now!

#4: The Interior

The fourth reason for buying on of these is the interior styling. The interior of this car feels like a proper car. Most of the models came standard with black leather though you could customize the color that you wanted the leather to be. However, the seats are comfortable and the steering wheel is, well, a great steering wheel. The wheel along with the dials makes for a great place to sit. However, it is worth mentioning that the interior is not too luxurious. You get what you would expect from a 1960s sports car. That being said, it is still a great interior and if you get the convertible version, then it is even better as you can feel the wind rush by and hear the engine much clearer. Now, onto the final reason for this list!

#5: The Styling

The final reason to pick up a 1969 Corvette Stingray today is because of the beautiful exterior styling! The body has these great flowing lines that make it look fast and sleek. On top of that, the styling around the wheels adds to the aggression that the car has. Also, I think it is extremely cool that the car actually kind of looks like a stingray. Many cars are named after things that they have absolutely no relation to but the styling on this beauty really does conjure up images of stingrays. Moving onto the back of the car, it has a beautiful and wind-swept sort of looking spoiler that really completes the car. I think that this is one of the best looking Corvettes to have ever been made and it has been said that it is comparable to art!

Outro:

Now, whether you are going to buy one or not, you have to admit that those are some pretty compelling reasons! Now is a great time to buy one of these though, if you are considering it, because as I said before, the price could skyrocket in the coming years. Usually, I would leave a link or two hear to the car so that you could easily find it but in this case, if you are in America, then you should have no problem finding one for a good price with a quick search! The album features a number of live versions of fan favorites such as 'Hotel California' and 'Peaceful Easy Feeling'.  This album is quite special for a few reasons though the main one being that this was the last time that the Eagles played all together as a united group. This recording features Don Henley, Glenn Frey, Joe Walsh, Timothy B. Schm...

Beginnings: The Ferrari 328

Beginnings: This is the beginning of something beautiful. It is the start of a new community for those who love the art and design of the past and all it has to offer. The cars, the art, the music, and all the vintage design that you could ever want. I have always been interested in the past, specifically in the designs. The cars were beautiful and loud, or elegant and smooth. Then there was the music, there was the Rock and Roll, the Blues, the Jazz, and so much more! The art is always a thing of absolute beauty and it can take the imagination to places so stunning and wild that you may never want to return. So, in this community, we will cherish all that is vintage and take a moment to tell the stories of the past. The year 1969 was chosen for an obvious reason. There are years that were better for cars, or better for music, or better for art. However, if asked to chose one such year that brought together a culmination of the best of all of these things, many would quickly offer up t...

The Fiat Panda is the Perfect Off-Road Toy

The Fiat Panda: The Fiat Panda is a small and fearless off-roader that will most likely be able to take you anywhere that you want it to. Not quite as vintage as some of our other articles but I am sure that this 90s creation will impress you and, by the end of this article, I am sure that you too will want one. The Fiat Panda is extremely capable but also an extremely small off-roader. So, lets dig a little deeper and find out why I think that the Fiat Panda is such a cool car! The Fiat Panda was originally conceived in 1980 and was designed by the Italian design firm Italdesign. They had previously designed similar cars that focused on a very utilitarian sense of design and function. The car was supposed to be an easy to use, go anywhere, small sized car that was also supposed to be inexpensive. I am excited to say that not only did the Panda check all those boxes but it also went above and beyond. While the car was originally designed as a car that you could use for all sorts of act...
