The Best Cars of 1969!

- Dear Reader, we have a new website! You can check it out by clicking the link here: 1969 Inc. We hope that you enjoy the article! -

1969 was a great year for music, film, and hippies. However, it wasn't just great art that came from 1969 but also some great cars. In this article, I have created a list of all the great cars that were released or produced during 1969! This article is only a list as I will actually be attempting to do individual articles about all of these cars in the future!

So, there were a lot of cars released in 1969. The American market was thriving with muscle cars and the Europeans were making some pretty sweet cars! The total list is maybe not quite as long as you would expect, but it is full of awesome cars that are now beautiful classics! So, let's take a look at the list of cars from 1969!

Cars Released in 1969:

  • Aston Martin V8
  • Autobianchi A112

In honor of the namesake of this blog, I will be doing an article about each and every one of these cars! Yes, that even includes that concept cars that made the list. I left out a few of the cars that were released in 1969 as they were, well, a little bit drab. However, if there are any interesting cars that you think I left off, please leave a comment and let me know!

This list is filled with cool European sports cars, small Japanese city cars, and big American muscle cars. This is literally the perfect lineup for any car lover. Now, anyone can argue that there are better years for cars or that this was not the prime year for classics. However, I will remind you that this is only the cars that were released during this time period. There were lots of other sports cars that were being made during this period! Cars like the Porsche 911 and the Mazda Cosmo were still produced during the year 1969, they just weren't released then.

Porsche 914: The Fun Porsche

Introduction Today, I want to talk about a car that most people have probably seen once or twice but don't know all too much about. We are going to talk about the Porsche 914 and I am going to explain why I think this is one of the most fun Porsches. I should mention that by saying this is the fun Porsche, I am not saying that other Porsches are not fun, because that is completely untrue. I just think that most of the other models are a lot more serious than this one, which makes this one a lot more fun. So, let's start by talking a little bit about the car, and then I will talk about why I think this is the fun Porsche! The Car So, in the early 60s Porsche needed a new car to replace the Porsche 912 that was currently their entry model car. So, they started to design the 914 as a newer, but still entry level, sports car. They were going to make two models, one with a four cylinder and one with a six cylinder engine. However, this was when Porsche was still heavily tied to Volk...

Did Bon Scott write any of Back in Black?

I should probably start this off with a sort of a disclaimer. Firstly, I am not expert on this nor am I affiliated with AC/DC. This is mere speculation and opinion. However, it is quite an interesting topic in the world of AC/DC since there are many fans who often wonder about this. But, for those who are not as familiar with the subject, let's start by setting the scene of the story. In February of 1980, the lead singer of AC/DC Bon Scott passed away. He was one of the core parts of the band and played a large role in the band's songwriting process and performances. Bon Scott was the front man for AC/DC along with Angus Young and had quite a large following. However, he was also a very stereotypical Rockstar as he spent much of his time doing drugs, partying, and living a fast lifestyle. This eventually would be what lead to his death in 1980. He passed away after a long night of drinking when he curled up in the back of his car to sleep. In his sleep he choked on his own vo...
